Built for developers who live in pull requests

Unread count, always visible

A tray / menu bar badge shows exactly how many notifications you have. No tab-switching, no email digests.

One click to context

Click any notification to open that PR, issue or discussion directly in your browser.

100% local

Your GitHub token stays on your machine. No accounts, no cloud relay, no tracking of your activity. Polls the official GitHub API every 60 seconds.

macOS, Windows & Linux

One app for your whole team, whatever they run: DMG for Mac (Apple Silicon & Intel), MSI for Windows 10+, .deb and AppImage for Linux.

Lives quietly in the tray

Closing the window keeps DevNotify running in the system tray. Check Now whenever you want an instant refresh.

Lightweight native app

A small Tauri app — a fraction of the memory of a browser tab left open all day.

Works with your own token

Paste a GitHub personal access token (read-only notifications scope is enough) and you're running in under a minute.

Up and running in 3 minutes

1

Download for your platform. DMG (Mac), MSI (Windows) or .deb/AppImage (Linux) from the download page. Mac first launch: right-click the app and choose Open (it isn't notarized yet).

2

Create a fine-grained personal access token on GitHub with read access to notifications, paste it into Preferences.

3

Done. Your unread count appears in the menu bar and refreshes every minute.
