Privacy Policy

Short version

DevNotify was built to be private. Your GitHub token is stored only on your own computer and is sent only to GitHub. We do not receive it, we cannot read it, and there is no account to create.

The DevNotify application

• Your token stays local. The personal access token you enter is stored in your operating system's credential storage on your machine. It is transmitted only to api.github.com over HTTPS.
• No telemetry from the app. DevNotify does not send usage data, crash reports, or identifiers anywhere.
• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no user database.

This website

When you visit this site, a privacy-friendly counter records one anonymous page-view per visitor per hour (stored as a count only — no IP address, no cookies, no identifier). This tells us how many people are interested; it cannot tell us who they are.

Purchases

Licenses are paid through Stripe, which processes the payment. When you buy a license, Stripe passes us your email address so your license key can be delivered and re-sent. We never see your card details. See Stripe's own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy) for how they handle payment data.
